Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, which was established in 1925, is a branch centre of the worldwide Ramakrishna Math with its headquarters at Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal. Besides the spiritual activities, Mysuru Ashrama runs Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala – a renowned residential school, Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education (RIMSE) – a personality development and value education centre, an exclusive department to publish books in Kannada language, Publishes a monthly magazine in Kannada, titled Viveka Prabha and a Seva Mandira. Through spiritual, literary, educational, and rural welfare activities, the Ashram strives to promote the integral development of the Society.
